Unapproved MIN BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMUTS n1URSDAY, January 15, 1970f 7:30 PM CITY HALL Members Present: Chairman Jim Wedlund Donald Sorensen Jim Cardinal. Joan Meyers Members Absent: Tom Cebulla Staff Present: Wayne Sanders, Chief Building Inspector I. APPROVAL OF NOMM OF OCTOBER 23. 1975 MEETING Sorensen moved to approve Minutes of October 231, 1975 as written- Wsdlund seconded, Motion carried. Meyers abstained. APPAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEHM 13, 1975 MBETING Wedlund moved to approve Minutes of November 139 1975 as Written.- Cardinal seconded, motion carried, with 'Meyers and Sorensen abstaining. on. A. ftgari no in of Members for upcoming year., Chairman Wedlund declared that the swearing in of members of the Board for the next year was the first order of business, in order to have a duly constituted body. This was accomplished. B. Nomination of Officers Wedlund was elected unanimously to serve again as Chairperson for the year. Ceballa was elected unanimously to serve as Vice-Chairperson for the year. Cardinal was elected unanimously to serve as Secretary for the year. III. Edim - Qarjance Reaues Chairman Wedlund turned over the floor to Mr. Peter Gumina, to state his request. Page 2 January 159 1976 Board of Appeals and Adjustments Gumina told the Board that his proposed building site is located on Gordon Drop Topview Acres, and is requesting a 42 ft. variance. Sorensen added as a point of information that Ordinance requires 50 ft. setback, and this has a lot to do with protecting the view up and down the street. ownina responded that he felt this situation was different, because there are no houses there and all three lots are empty. Sanders added that City sideback sebacks are 15 ft., and that Gwdna has had to re-design his house to 15 ft. and 10 ft, and that in compensating for the 6 in. it leaves him with 42 ft.. Sorensen asked whether setbacks have been fairly regular in that area. Sanders responded that in that block you have different setbacks. There were no neighbors objecting to his plan, -according to twnina, and his plans were in keeping with the character of the neighborhood. He be permitted to have setback variance to the NW corner of his property in the amount of t* unto the NW corner of garage for 43 ft-, in accordance to the site plan given today. $ A Variance be granted on the East side yard to permit the full use , of the land or South position of the house to be occupied as dwelling space. He added that these variances will noti.be detrimental to the public wellfare or injurious to any in the vicinity. Meyers seconded, motion carried unanimously.
