Tony Hirt was elected chairman for the year. Paul Choiniere was elected vice
chairman. Wayne Sanders was elected clerk.
The minutes of the last meeting on November 5, 1973 were read and approved.
The person requesting a varience was Mr. Robert Riesgraf on Lot 3, Block 3,
Red Rock Lake 2nd Addition. The varience request was for a 35 foot front set
back and a 10 foot side yard set back in an area that was established as a
50 foot front yard and 15 foot side yard set back. More than forty percent
of the homes had been built within this block.
The Building Inspector, Wayne Sanders explained the lot situation and elevations
to the Board of Appeals. Mr. Ed Sherman, Inspector also added information as
requested by the board.
Mr. Marvin Johnson and Mr. Fred Purcell , residents on Red Oak Drive indicated
that they had to follow the fifty foot set back when they built. They felt
that others should follow the same set back.
No one was present to represent the appellant.
Paul Choiniere made a motion to deny request because it did not meet the necessary
criteria mentioned in the Zoning Ordinance. John McCulloch made a second to this
motion.
Tony Hirt asked that a check list, list of varience criteria and rules of
procedure be mailed to all Board members so that they may be discussed at a
future meeting.
