Adams opened the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Commissioners Gilbertson, Barkley and Plaza
were excused. Commissioner Amell was absent. Finding there was not a quorum to hold
the meeting, the agenda for Monday, May 16, 2005 was tabled and the meeting closed.
Gertz reported that at the next meeting the Commission would be reviewing plans for the
Glen Lake Children's Camp. Significant changes to two camp buildings are proposed.
Gertz said two people from the camp are expected to come to the June meeting. They
will be presenting their plans and showing the Commissioners what they intend to do in
terms of upgrading the buildings to make them more usable for their campers. They plan
to start this work in September, after the camp programs are over. The Commissioners
will be asked for input on the plans, but no action will be required at that time. Approval
from the HPC will likely be requested at the July meeting.
