PETITION-S , REQUESTS AND COI�?-ITITNICATIONS (Cony d.. ) C . Request from John Crouch. . . City attorney read a letter from 1,1r. Crouch to the City Council dated June 23 , 1975 which he had just received. Mr. Grouch appeared before the Council to state they would like to do the construction, this summer and did not N,.=t to i-:!ait until a mini-study was completed. He requested a variance so they would be able to build. Attorney Perbix explained it is a non--conforming use and under the Ordinance , the Council does not have the I po:•rer to grant a variance for the building, to be enlarged. I Mr. Crouch stated the building; and proposed addition would meet all requirements if it viere re-zoned. Mr. Ulstad stated the study ,%rould take from 30 to 45 days and cost about 411500. Mr. Crouch stated his firm would be v,,illing to ray their share of the study cost. Pen:sel moved to authorize staff to undertake a mini-study subjf_ct to participation by applicant in the cost and subject to 45-day time limit. , I.eyers seconded.
