Mr. McGlenn objected only on the club house and irrigation system portion of the assessment and felt that the maintenance building, blacktop surfacing f and land were valued fairly. After a discussion and review of costs of other club houses and watering systems in the metropolitan area it was T decided by the Board to make a reduction of $30,900 on the club house and t $39*000 on the irrigation system. d II. Mr. l-latter Carpenter of Minnesota Tree was present to voice his views on the manner in which his small tools and equipment are being depreciated. At the present time, equipment like chain saws and small hand tools are being depreciated on a five year life. Small tools and equipment that have longer life spans are given a ten year life. It was Mr. Carpenter's contention that the chair► saws and other hand tools have shorter life spans than five years and that his other equipment and tools do not last the ten years. It was decided by theBoard to give a six year depreciation schedule for all toots and equipment this year. Rext year, however, the Board recommended that Mr. Carpenter keep a record of what tools and equipment wear out faster and should be depreciated accordingly. The 1971 estimated market value was $4,920. After the Board's recommendations, the estimated market value is $4,491, amounting to a $429 reduction.
