The meeting was called to order by Planning Carr mssion Chairman, Odom
Skjelbostad at 7:30 P.M.

Also present were Harlan Perbix, Attorney, Don Brauer,
Planner and George Hite, Village Manager.
Mr. Hite presented and reviewed his nxmios dated March 20 and April 1, 1969
which contained suggested changes to the January 7, 1969 draft of the.
proposed zoning ordinance. lie and Mr. Brauer presented and explained a
Proposed zoning reclassification plan and stressed its close relation to
both the zoniubg ordinance and the cocpreh+ensive Guide Plan. Mr. Perbix
amnented on the legal aspects of adopting a new zoning oa:dukvxx and said
that he felt the Village would be in a far more defensible position if it
acted comprehensively and in acoDrd with the objectives and proposals of
the Guide Plan. The Council, Planning C"mission and others in attendance
then engaged in two hours of discussion on all aspects of the proposed new
�. ordinance. upon questioning. the Planning ca=Lssion unanimously reaffirmed
its endorsement of the proposed new ordinance including the establishment
of a 11,000 sc;uare foot mi.nimun residential lot size.
It was agreed that the proposed ordinance would be submitted to the League
of Minnesota, Municipality attorney and to the American Society of Planning
Officials office for review and c cmTient and that the scheduled April 8
hearing would be continued until April 22, 1969 to permit this to be done.

all voted aye. Motion carried.
