HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 05/26/1965 - Village Meeting Council Meeting; 1`'iay 26, 1965 The Council met in the Village Hall on May 26, 1965 at 8 P. M. Present were : Donald A. Rogers, Mayor James C. Brown, Clerk Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treas. Alvin Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Pe rbix, At ty. A. W. Miller, Trustee Quentin K. Wood, AFW ORDER OF BUSINESS: MINUTES It was molred by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth E. Anderson to approve the minutes of May 11, 1965 and May 18, 1965 as published. Motion carried. VOUCHERS It was roved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Arthur Miller to approve Vouchers ##2388 through #2393 and #2396 for payment. f Motion carried. JOHN DEERE CRAWLER It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Arthur biller to approve payment up to $500.00 for repair of the John Deere Crawler by the Freeway Equipment Company. i Motion carried. 4 i WELL PERMITS ' f t e McAlpine Brothers had an ordinance violation which they agreed to work out. It was moved by Arthur Miller and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to issue a well driller's license to Trim Stevens Well Company and McAlpine Bros. Well Company. Motion carried. REPORT ON ROADS Mr. Wood and Mr. Stodola met with the appraiser of the Bureau of Public Roads and went over Eden Prairie roads. Mr. Wood reported they would authorize up to "14,900.00 to Eden Prairie for repairing roads. - 2 - Council Meeting May 26, 1965 WILWW CREEK Letters from Mr. Perbix giving his requested opinion on this matter were received and read and made a part of these minutes, also a letter from Willow Creek residents. It was agreed by the Council that any action against Mr. Poppler would have to be by the Willow Creek residents and. not by the Village as the Council had acted legally, properly and correctly, and that the Council would not at this time take any further action on this matter. It was moved by James Brown and seconded by Alvin Bren to release the building permit restriction imposed on Lot 11 in the Minutes of May lit 1965. Motion carried. BLOSSOM ROAD AND BENNETT PLACE a It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Arthur Miller to receive the petition for road improvement for Blossom Road and Bennett Place and refer it to the engineer, Mr. Wood, for checking to sea if there are the required number of signatures, and, if valid, to proceed with deriving cost factors. Motion carried. HENNEPIN COUNTY HIGHWAY PLANS FOR 62ND CROSSTOWN It was roved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to receive the plans and refer them to the Planning & Zoning Commission for recommendations. Motion carried. PADON DOWNS Mr. Wood had a copy of the letter from the County recommending that the level of Duck Lake not be interfered with. It was felt that the Village would not take on expensive pumping projects because of poor building practices by developers. I NO T TINGHAM FOREST - ESCROW MONEY - DRAINAGE PROBLEMS Present: Jerre Miller, Charles Carlson, Norman Undestad, Don Wolf It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Arthur Miller to hold a special meeting on the site with the above and Mr. Archie Carter, the meeting to be May 27, 1965 at 7:30 P. M., if possible. Mr. Wood is to set this up. Motion carried. f r _ 3 _ Council Meeting May 26, 1965 ALMA GOOD The request for a building permit for Ed Good for a lot on the rear area of a 40 acre piece was ride by Alma Good. She building site would not have frontage on a public road. Mr. Good is to bring in a site plan showing survey, road easement, etc. FO TO MARK INC. - REQUEST FOR REZORIM It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bran to hold a hearing for rezoning from RC to SI on June 15,, 1965.
