The Council met in the Village Hall on April 13, 1965 at 8 o'clock P. M.
Present were:
Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Alvin J. Bren, Trustee
Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee James C. Brown, Clerk
A. W. Miller, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treas.
W. Harlan Perbix, Atty. Quentin K. Wood, APW
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
MINUTES
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve
the minutes of March 24, March 27, and April 10, 1965 as published.
Motion carried.
VOUCHERS
It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve s
Vouchers #2225 through #2301 for payment.
Motion carried.

COMPENSATING OVERTIME
It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to pay Compen-
satory Overtime.
Motion carried.
DOG ORDINANCE
The following report was submitted by Mr. Quentin K. Wood:
Hopkins: The Hennepin County Animal Rescue League charged $175.00
per month for one hour per day per week.
Boarding - $1.15 per day up to 5 days, then destroyed
License Fees - 1964 - $3- 240.0o
Costs - 1964 - 2,o49.o0
Minnetonka: Contact Mr. Willets - $5,730.00 per year
Boarding - $100.00 per month, plus $1.25 per dog per day
up to 5 days
Budget for 1964 - M 825.00
U it 1965 - $,700.00
Received from licenses in 1964 - $5,Ooo.00

WILLOW CREEK
It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Arthur Miller to adopt
a resolution to accept the petition of Willow Creek property owners for sur-
facing Willow Creek Road and to refer this to the Village Engineer for a

MARK H'JRD CONTRACT
It vas moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve
the contract with Mark Hurd for 2' contour mapping of the Village as needed
by developers, who will order through the Village, and authorize the Mayor
and the Clerk to sign.
Motion carried.
EDEN PRAIRIE SCHOOL DIST. 272 BLDG. PERMIT WAIVER

It was moved. by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren not to waive
the building permit fee after the contracts have been bid and let, and the
! Olerk was instructed to so advise.

GRADER FOR EDEN PRAIRIE SCHOOL

There was a motion by Arthur Miller and a second by Kenneth Anderson
to table the request by Eden Prairie School to purchase a grader.
Motion carried.
TYPEWRITER
It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to table the
matter of the typewriter,
Motion carried.
MARCO JONES
It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Arthur Miller to release
the balance of $218.58 in the Escrow Account to Marco Jones ' Property in
Heritage Park.

DOG ORDINANCE CONT.
It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to table this
matter until we set next year's budget in August.
Motion carried.
ROADS
There was a picture report of roads by Quentin Wood. We have hired Northern
Contracting Company to do emergency repairs with heavy equipment.
ASSESSOR
L. E. Whitmer reports he has 368 building permits plus the airport to be
checked and will require help �or the personal property on farms. No action was
taken this meeting.
It was moves? by James Brown and seconded by Alvin Bren to order Homestead
Cards. 4

CARL KRAMER
There was a request to abandon a short road and he was advised to refer
this matter by letter to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
STREET NAMES
Street names were discussed for the Northwest area but no action w as taken.
SUNSET RIDGE
A report was made on this by Quentin Wood.
It was moved by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to release
$8,000.00 of the Escrow Account on Sunset Ridge to Gebco Inc.
Motion carried.
SH)OTING PERMITS
It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve the
following shooting permits :
Jim Simon - 22 Cal., 12 Gauge Shotgun, .3006 C. L. Sutton - 22 Cal.
Glenn Simon - 22 Cal., 16 Gauge " , .257 G. D. Melin - 22 Cal. for school
use only.

LOWBOY TRAILER
w) It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by A. W. Miller to authorize the
expenditure of $125.00 for repairing the lowboy trailer.

i SCHOOL ROAD
Several citizens requested action on the School Road. They were advised
Ld to petition for road improvement.

di 33,000.00 for hiring of equipment and purchase of materials for emergency repairs
of roads washed out by spring floods.

It was moved by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Andersonk to approve
dividing Lot 11 in the Willow Creek Addition into outlot I, Tract A and Tract e
B and allow variance for Tract A.
Motion carried.
