,. The Village Council met in the Village Hall on December 23, 1964 at
8 o'clock P. m.
Present were:
Donald A. Rogers, Mayor James C. Brown, Clerk
Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney
Albert L. Bruce, Trustee Archie Carter, Engineer
Alvin J. Bren, Trustee
ORDER OF BUSINESS:

A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to
approve the minutes of December 9, 1964 as published.

Motion carried.
APPOINTMENT-SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to
appoint James Brown director and Albert Bruce, alternate director of the
Suburban Rate Authority.
Motion carried.

BID-TILE FOR VAULT & REAR HALLWAY
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to reject
the tile bid for vault and rear hallway.
Motion carried.
LAW OFFICERS SCHOOL
A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to
authorize Leslie Kopesky three days wages, expenses and mileage to attend
a special school on ,juvenile control.
Motion carried.
FURNACE FOR VILLAGE GARAGE
Don Rogers had received a bid of $895.00 on a furnace for the Village
Garage. Alvin Bren is to check on this bid with other companies informally.
No action will be taken until this has been completed.
ORDINANCE_
A motion was made by Kennet17 Anderson and seconded by James Brown to
adopt Ordinance #54 amending Ordinance #8.

IMMANUEL LUTHERN CH'JRCF
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to
receive a letter from the Immanuel Luthe rn Church on responsibility for
paving, road and said letter to be made a part of the road contract for
Kirk Meadows subdivision.
Motion carried .
WAGE PROPOSALS-LOCAL 4y
Mr. Charles E. Swenson, Business Agent for Local 49, International
Union of Operating Engineers appeared before the Council with proposals for
wages and benefits for 1965 •as follows:
Ray Stodola From $495 to $592
Ralph Johnson " 445 " 527
Harry Picha " 435 " 517
Temporary F.elp •' 2.40 per Hr. to $2.55 per Hr.
Add 12 days sick leave.
All over-time at time and one half instead of compensating time off.

No action was taken at this time.
FIRST NATIONAL. BANK
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by James Brown to keep
First National Bank of Hopkins as depository for the coming year of 1965.
Motion carried.
J. DAVID MCCARTHY-VILLAGE ATTORNEY
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Eren that
the Village Council confirm the appointment effective December 1, 1964 of
,J. David McCarthy as Village Attorney for the purpose of prosecuting actions
and doing other work involving the Village.

RESEARCH ROAD-GEBCO BUILDERS
A report was received from Rieke-Carroll & Assoc. in regard to lake side
lot on Research Road . It appears to be an unauthorized earth mining operation
on this property. A motion was made by James Brown to table this pending
finalizing of this matter.
APPOSNTNENT-QUENTIN K. WOOD
19 A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to hire
Quentin K. Wood as Administrator of Public Works at a salary of $800.00 per
month, mileage and necessary expenses starting January 1, 1965. a

TERMINATION-CARTER, KRUSER & ASSOC.
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren
terminating Carter. Krueger and Associates as consulting engineers for
the Village of Eden Prairie, acting as Village Engineer. Carter, Krueger
and Associates are to turn over all records, maps, project files etc.
involving the Village of Eden Prairie.
Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 11:05 P. m.
