Present were: Donald A. Rogers, Mayor James C. Brown, Clerk Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren, Bookkeeper Albert L. Bruce, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Alvin J. Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney Archie Carter, Engineer ORDER OF BUSINESS: NO SMOKING a A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to ban any further smoking in the audience at Council meetings. Motion carried. i MINUTES A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve the minutes of the June 3Oth meeting as written. j Motion carried. VOUCHERS A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve payment of vouchers #1656 through#1704. Motion .carried. WELL BIRDS FOR VILLAGE HALL A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to accept the well bids for the Village Hall and refer them to Rieke-Carroll for study. j l Motion carried. A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to award the well bid to Don Stodola in the amount of $1,544.52. Motion carried. A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren that Rieke-Carroll return the E. H. Renner and Henry Gess Well Co. bonds and bids. Motion carried. July 14, 1964 (Page 2) SUNSET RIDGE WATER & STREET PROBLEMS A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Alvin Bren that no further developments by Hussman or Gebco, Inc. will be approved by the Council in Eder. Prairie until the water and street problems are solved to the satisfaction of the Council and Village Engineer.in Sunset Ridge. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #4Z - PEARSON PROPERTY A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by James Brown to continue the hearing on the Pearson property until July 29th at 8 p. m. Motion carried. CHAR-LYNN PROPOSED BUILDING A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve the issuance of a partial permit for footings for the proposed Char-Lynn building. The fee is to be an estimated charge at one third of the total permit. Motion carried. KUCERA _PROPERTY A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to set a hearing date of August 11, 1964 for the Kucera property rezoning from one acre to 1/2 acre. There were three ayes and two nayes, Mayor Rogers and Trustee Bruce. Motion carried. NQR=RN STATES POWER PERMIT A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to forward the application for a transmission line to the Zoning & Planning Commission. Y Motion carried. 3 RIVE ROAD - SPEED LIMIT A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to set the speed limit on Riverview Road at 30 miles per hour. Motion carried. VOTER REGISTRATIONS A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to extend voter registration from July 18th to 25th at noon. Motion carried. July 14, 1964 (Page 3) VOTING - POLLING PLACE A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to set up the old gymnasium in the Eden Prairie School as a polling place for the primary and general elections. The Clerk is authorized to purchase the necessary equipment for three precincts. Motion carried. A motion was made and seconded to ad,Durn the meeting at 10:45 p. M. Motion carried. J s C.
