The Village Council met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on
May 12, 1964 at 6 otclock p. m.
Present were:
Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer
Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren. Acting Clerk
Albert L. Bruce, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney
Alvin J. Bren, Trustee
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
MINUTES
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to accept
the minutes of the April 29th and May 6th meetings as written.
Motion carried.
VOUCHERS
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve
payment of vouchers #1567 through #1611.
Motion carried.
JOINT MEETING
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to meet with
the Zoning & Planning Commission on May 19th to study the zoning ordinance.

VILLAGE HALL BIDS

A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to table ?
the bids for the Village Hall until May 19th.
Motion carried.
IRV PALMER - TRAILER PERMIT
A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bren to deny the request
for a trailer permit on property of Big D Discount Station and trailers are to be
removed from this property by June 1st, 1964.
Motion carried.
HEARING - PEARSON PROPERTY
/ A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt the
ordinance rezoning the Pearson property from RA to Rl. There was 3 ayes and one
abstain. Following is the description of the property:
The East 665 feet of that part of Government Lot 7 lying South of State
Highway No. 5 in Section 13, Township 116. Range 22, Hennepin County, Minn.

BELDEN-REIN-HOLASEK HEARING
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to continue
the hearing on this property until May 19th, 1964.
Motion carried.
ROSEMOUNT EW INEERING
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to set the
hearing date of June 9th on rezoning the following property:
The Ej of Ej of the Northwest Quarter of the NWy of NWt and the Northeast
Quarter of the NTt of NW* of Section 14. Township 116. Range 22, except
the following described part of land:
Commencing at a point 76.2 feet North of the Northeast Corner of the South
Half of the Northwest Quarter (SZ of Melt') of said Section; thence South
to the Northeast Corner; thence West 700 feet; thence Northeasterly to the
point of commencement, according to the United States Government Survey
thereof.
Motion carried.
CLERICAL HELP FOR ASSESSOR
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Al Bruce to authorize
the Village Assessor to hire Mrs. Edna Holmgren for approximately 400 hours at .
$2.25 per hour for clerical work.

BUILDING INSPECTION FEES
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to set up
the following scale for paying building inspection fees:
$ 4.00 To issue permit
5.00 Each for 3 inspections as follows:
1. Footing
2. Frame
3. Final
Motion carried.
WELL INSPECTION FEES
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to set up
the following scale for paying well inspection fees:
$ 1.00 To the Building Inspector to issue the permit
8.50 To Well Inspector

�. ADVERTISING - VILLAGE ENGINEER
A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to instruct
the Clerk to advertise for a Village Engineer in the following publications:
1. Minnesota Municipalities - The League of Minnesota Municipalities
2. The Reporter - American Public Works Association
Motion carried.
SEAL COATING
A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to instruct
Road Commissioner Ray Stodola to check the mileage on the following streets and
instruct -the Village Clerk to advertise for bids to seal coat:
1. Eden View II
2. Stevens Heights in Kings Forest
3. Kings Court Ist
4. Kings Court 2nd
