High School on January 14, 1964 at 8 o'clock p. a. Present were: �.- Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Janes C. Br m , Clerk Kenneth E. Anderson. Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Albert Bruce, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren, Bookkeeper Alvin Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbis, Attorney c.� Archie Carter, Engineer ORDER OF BUSINESS: �H A notion was rade by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve the minutes of the December 30, 1963 and January 11. 1964 aistinpas written. Notion carried. VOUGM A notion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve payment of vouchers #1376 through #1434. Motion carried. V_:_A.TT A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to appoint W. Harlan Perbiz Village Attorney for the year 1964. Motion carried. "'. ACTIN,MAIM A notion was made by Donald Rogers and seconded by Al Bruce to appoint Alvin �., Bren Acting Mayor in any absence of the elected Mayor. Motion carried. FIRST NATIONAL UK A notion was made by Alvin Bran and seconded by Albert Bruce to appoint the First National Bank of Hopkins as official depository of the Village of ]Eden Prairie for the year of 1964* also to adopt Corporate Authorisation Resolution for signature c of checks. A copy of this resolution is on file in the clerk's minutes of December lo. 1963• Notion carried. SUBURBAN E WSEN= , f A notion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to designate Suburban Newspapers, Inc. as the official village newspaper for the year 1964. Motion carried. January 14, 1964 (Page 2) Vnj AGE MMI14G DM A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to designate the second Tuesday of each month as a meeting for regular Village business and the 4th Wednesday for the purpose of handling other matters. Motion carried. 4 S=BMW ARiM22 W= AG= v A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bran to adopt the Resolution of Suburban Hennepin County Relief. a copy of which is on file in the clerk9a minutes. 16- Motion carried. STOP SIGN - HAXILTON ROAD & 18 C - A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Brea to install a stop sign at the intersection of Hamilton Road and County Road 1*18. Motion carried. RMLLCHEST 0 A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve the permanent plat for Rill at Courts with a 50 foot road on the north and. Motion carried. LOCH EDBN - SOMIps A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bran to accept the prella- inary plat for Loch Eden as changed. Motion carried. f OAS,MANOR - M" r A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to release escrow money in the amount of $1.500,00 on Coachlight Manor. Motion carried. IMPRAVMNT #2�LB AL FSS3 A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Brea to approve payment of legal fees in the amount of *02.63 for Howard, Peterson, LeFevers, Lefler and Hamilton. Motion carried. UNION 21SCMIO1 Discussion was held with Business Agent, Mr. Swenson with plans to meet at 7s00 P. a. on February 11, 1964 for more infornatioa. c Notion carried. January 14, 1964 (Page 3) SAN= A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Hren to purchase a sander for $429.00 plus $18.00 freight. Motion carried. RZLNSLP A motion was made by Donald Rogers and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to instruct the clerk to write to Mr. Swenson, Manager of M rmetooka Village to inform him that the Village of Eden Prairie does not wash to partioipate in Civil Defense in this area. Motion carried. VIL,_S HALL A SITS A meeting will. be held In room 308 on January 23, 1964 at 8 o'clock for further discussion on tillage hall sites and buildin plans. AMIT A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to appoint the firm of aronvall & kitten to #edit the village books for the year 1963. Motion carried. Village Treasurer to invest in Certificated of Deposit from surplus Village funds in the First National Banc of Hopkins. Minnesota. D Notion carried. 1 r I r 4 R R S 0 L U T 1 0 N Kenneth E. Anderson offered the following Resolution: BE IT RESOLVED, That the Contract heretofore submitted, signed and executed by the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Hoard of the County of Hennepin for and during the year 1964 for the administration and supervision of poor relief in the Vi23A&e of Edens Prairie be, and the same is hereby accepted, approved,, renewed and extended for and during the year 29" with the same force and effect as though said original Contract, above described, were redated and resigned and executed as of the date hereof. The question was on the adiption of the Resolution, and a roll being called there were 5 yeas and 0 nays, as follows : l l And so the Resolution was adopted.
