F'" Cr., Present were: 167-1 Donald Rogers, Mayor Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Al Bruce, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren, Bookkeeper G_! Alvin Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbir., Attorney Kenneth Anderson, Trustee Archie Carter, Engineer Elmer E. Clark, Clerk A. W. Miller. Chairman - Zoning & Planning ORDER OF BUSINESS: CROSSROADS CBNTER. INC. - HMNWAT_PLANS Discussion was held in regard to access ramps to Interstate #494 from the site desired by Crossroads Center, Inc. for a shopping center at the junction of Highway #169-212 and County Road #60. Mr. Beebe from the Highwa; Department requested enough information on thoroughfare plans to justify necessary ramps. A meeting is to be held with the Highway Department sometime during the week of September 30. The shopping center is projected for a 1967 opening. R A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt the resolution setting October 23rd as a hearing date for re-coning Semrad i9roperty. Motion carried. WANKS FOR AgM LSNE TORCH A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to grant 3 �j Road Commissioner, Stodola permission to purchase tanks for the acetylene torch for $80,00. Notion carried. i PAUL Emy i A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bran to release escrow monies in the amount of $2,625.00 to Paul Kelly, Lochanburn Addition as Kz soon as curbs are back filled and signs are erected. There will be a balance of `` $700.00 left. ra C:) Motion carried. z ; RESOLUTION - HionwAY 169,.Mg INTERs,�A,T,494• A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt the Resolution calling for Minnesota Department of Highways in cooperation with U. S. Bureau of Public Roads to restudy layouts of Trunk Highway 169 and Inter- I state 494. A copy of thi'y resolution is on file in the clerkes minutes. Motion carried. September 25, 1963 (Page 2) TAX LWY - 1964 BUDGET A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to set the tax levy for the 1964 budget as follows: General Fund $16,750.00 Street Pond 65,550.00 Poor Ptend 7.650.00 $899950.00 Motion carried.
