The Regular meeting of the Eden 1•rairie Town Board was
Held in the American Legion Ball July loth - 1962 at 8 o'clock

Anderson Supervisors, A. W. Miller Treas. Elmer L. Clark Clerk,
Harlan i-erbix Attorney and Archie Carter Engineer.
The melting was called to order by Mr. Alvin Bren Chairman
and the minutes of the last meeting were read and approveda as read.
A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the application
of the Goodrich Construction Co. , Inc. , for a permit for a(mixing)or loading
plant be granted, Providing the specification to be drawn up by
-+ Attorney rerbix are acc9table to the Town Board. Crow-Dietz Co.Operate
the loading plant and Woodrich sells the gravel for loading.
Motion carried,
BOAT RACES

Mr. Lavelle appeared for the Mid-West Boat Racing Assn. and
presented his side of the question and then Mr. Larson presented
the property owners living aroun d Bryant' s Lake and gave their
views stxtM in regard to having this kind of Boat Racing on the
Lake.
W After the d*scussion Mr. Lavelle decided that the Boat Races
would not be held on Bryant's Long Lake July 21st 1962.
WA MOTION w,_.s duly made and seconded that the viewing of the
CL property of Dr. Linner and W. W. Schultz lying south of the new
Hgy #169 and the hearing set for July loth 1962 be continued until
the next regular Board meeting to be held Aug. 14th 1962.
A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the Town Board of the Town
0 of Eden prairie, Minnesota DENY the Claim of Mr. Ben Tnusing that the
0 Town of Eden Prairie be held responsible for the killing of a Black
M Walnut tree on his property, while spraying leafy spurge.
Motion carried
A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the Chairman and Clerk
of the Town Board enter into a purchase agreement with Kieth James for
the purchase of approximatly 4 acres of land lying East of Eden Prairie
- , Methodist Church property South of the new Hgy. ,#169 for $5250.00 cash
James to furnist"urvey and permit the removal by the Town of 2000
cubit yards of fill from his adjoining property. Said agreement to be m
subject to the approval of the Town Attorney.
Motion carried
A MOTION was duly made and seconded that Mr. Carter Town Engineer
be authorized to prepare the Street plan for Sterling Field Add. and
work with Attorney perbix to expidite the project as soon as possible.

A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the Town Board DENY
a permit for a Trailer to the Attendant of the Gc.s Station at the
Junction of State Hgyrr 169 and Shady Oak Road.
Motion carried. j
g A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the Clerk be authorized
to VOID the Option agreement with the School Board for Approx.(6.43)
�! four and 43/100 acres of landp which waS found to be unsuitable
for Town purposes.

A 13ESOLUTION RECEIVING REPOET AND CALLING FOR BEARING
ON IMPROVJ%flWS,

WHERWA.S, pursuant to Resolution No. 36 adopted May 28, 19629 a
report has been prepared by Archie Carter, Town Engineer, with reference to 1
the improvement of Loralee Lane, Rrenston Road,snd Sterling Terrace, and Boyd 1
Avenue, all within the plat of Sterling Field, Hennepin County, Minnesota, by
construction of blacktop surface, curb and gutter and storm drainage thereon,
and this report was received by the Town Bo::rd on June 26, 19623,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of the Town of Eden
Prairie as follows:
(1) That the Town Board will consider an improvement of such streets in
accordance with said report and the assessment of all of the lots and blocks
located within Sterling Field for all or a portion of the costs of improvement
pursuant to M.S.A. , Section 429.011 to Section 429.111, at an estimated total
cost of the improvement of $20,000.00.
(2) A public hearing shall be hold on such proposed improvements on the
14th day of August, 1962, at the Town Sall at eight ofrlock p.m., and the Clerk
shall give published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
ADOPTED BY the Town Board of the Town of Bden Prairie this 27th day
of June, 1962.

The Town Board met the loth Of July at 9 A M and all
members were present. Meeting was held in the American
legion Hall. Supervisor of Assements Johnson was also
present.
This meeting was for 6he purpose of Reviewing and
corresting the assessment of said Town of Eden Y rairie for
the year 1962. Four persons appeared before the Board with
complaintat and a few adjustments were made.
The Books were not closed and the meeting was continued
until the Aug. 14tb meeting 0010 the Board.
