Staff Appraisers: Dave Buswell and Jon Thompson. Hennepin County Assessor’s Representative Earl Zent. Assessing Technician Lisa Ramsey and Recording Secretary Jan Curielli. I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Moquist at 7:00 p.m. II. ORDER OF BUSINESS A. APPROVE MINUTES FROM APRIL 17, 2017 BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MEETING MOTION: Rial moved, seconded by Walker, to approve the minutes of the Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting held Monday, April 17, 2017, as published. Motion carried 5-0. B. REVIEW THE UNRESOLVED APPEALS CONTINUED FROM APRIL 17, 2017 Appeal #1 – Jerome Buechler, 6900 Stonewood Ct Sams said the owner and staff have agreed to reduce the value to $315,000. MOTION: Walker moved, seconded by Rial, in Appeal No. 1 to reduce the value to $315,000. Motion carried 5-0. BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MINUTES May 4, 2017 Page 2 Appeal #3 – Janis Sicard, 7280 Green Ridge Dr Sams said the owner and staff have agreed to reduce the value to $280,000. MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Rial, in Appeal No. 3 to reduce the value to $280,000. Motion carried 5-0. Appeal #5 – Donald & Nina Geyen, 7089 Howard La Sams said the owner and staff have agreed to reduce the value to $610,000. MOTION: Walker moved, seconded by Rial, in Appeal No. 5 to reduce the value to $610,000. Motion carried 5-0. Appeal #9 – Anthony Lando, 10531 Riverview Dr E Sams said staff left messages regarding the need to schedule an inspection; however, the owner did not respond. MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Walker, in Appeal No. 9 to affirm the value of $525,000. Motion carried 5-0. Appeal #11 – Exclusive Aerospace LLC, 14801 Pioneer Tr Sams said the owner and staff have agreed to reduce the value to $3,100,000. MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Rial, in Appeal No. 11 to reduce the value to $3,100,000. Motion carried 5-0. Appeal #26 – Cole PM Eden Prairie, 11200 Prairie Lakes Dr Sams said staff left messages regarding the need to schedule an inspection; however, the owner did not respond. MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Walker, in Appeal No. 26 to affirm the value of $3,711,000. Motion carried 5-0. Appeal #27 – Wayne Bradford as Tax Rep. for Mountain Prairie, LLC, 12160 Technology Dr Sams said the owner and staff have agreed to reduce the value to $8,250,000. MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Rial, in Appeal No. 27 to reduce the value to $8,250,000. Motion carried 5-0. BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MINUTES May 4, 2017 Page 3 Appeal #29 – Jeffrey & Natanya Harris, 9809 Windsor Ter Sams said this appeal was received after the first Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting. Staff has not been able to schedule an inspection. MOTION: Walker moved, seconded by Thompson, in Appeal No. 29 to affirm the value of $490,300. Motion carried 5-0. C. SIGN BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION DOCUMENTS III. ADJOURN THE 2017 BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MEETING MOTION: Thompson moved, seconded by Rial, to adjourn the 2017 Board of Appeal & Equalization. Motion carried 5-0. Chair Moquist adjourned the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
