Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 2021-22 - 2021 CDBG Funds - 03/02/2021CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2021-22 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF FISCAL YEAR 2021 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Eden Prairie, as an entitlement community, participates m the Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Eden Prairie has developed a proposal for the use of CDBG funds, and held a public hearing on March 2, 2021, to obtain the views of citizens on the proposed use of $280,000 in grant funding plus $95,000 in program income funds for the 2021 Community Development Block Grant Program. Any additional program income received will be used to cover expenses generated in an existing CDBG Program or activity and not just expenses related to the activity generating the income BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Eden Prairie approves the following activities for funding from the Community Development Block Grant program, and authorizes and directs the Mayor and the City Manager to execute Subrecipient and Third Party Agreements on behalf of the City. P hr s u IC erv1ce A ... ctiv1ties F d" L un mg eve PROP (Housing Support Services) $30,000 PROP (Emergency Vehicle Repair) $15,000 PROP (Child Care) $4,000 HOME (Household & Outside Maintenance for the Elderly) $12,000 Subtotal $61,000 Housine Activities Funding Level Housing Rehabilitation Deferred Loan Program $157,000 Rehab Grants $10,000 Affordable Housing -WHAHL T $80,000 Affordable Housing -First Time Homebuyer $10,000 Fair Housing Initiative $2,000 Program Administration $55,000 Total $375,000 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if there is an increase or decrease in the anticipated funding amount for the 2021 CDBG fiscal year, the Housing Rehabilitation Deferred Loan Program allocation will be increased or decreased accordingly. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute on behalf of the City; the Application for Federal Assistance, Form SF424 submitted with the Action Plan, the HUD Funding/ Approval form and all Certifications and other documents required in connection therewith.
